- TDM: Time Domain Multiplexing. Time is divided among users. eg: telephone system
- FDM: Frequency Domain Multiplexing. Frequency channels are divided among the users. Context: Radio Waveeg : television broad casting
- WDM: Wave Length is shared among users. Context: Optical Fiber Technologyeg: optical networking

- We use search everyday to find information. This searching helps to build our knowledge-base. In the process, we use different strategies to find out the target information from the search result. Research is being carried out to create tools that in addition to providing search results will provide options and tools that will help to utilize different strategies to find out the target information (quickly) from the search results. Relation Browser from the University of North Carolina is such a tool.
