Black box
The black box is a term used in science introduced by Ashby, and is very complex systems whose structure and functioning little or nothing is known. What is a “black box” depends on the subject that looks at a particular object, phenomenon or process. For someone and radio can be a “black box “, while the second of a technical tool that can not be, because basically everyone is familiar with the structure and functioning. It is certain that science deals with “black boxes”, exploring what is unknown. Against the “black box” there is the notion of “white box” which means to know an object, phenomenon, or process. Something that at one point a “black box” can eventually become a “white box”. In computer science, the term “black box” used to mean a method that explores the complex cybernetic system. The experimenter observed output values and compares them with the input and based on that conclusion on the internal structure and functioning of the system. That is the experimenter manipulated inputs(trying out) changing the input parameters, then classifies the output values (values) to come to the deduction rules that are worth the studied system. Rules to which the experimenter came to express the legality of the process of transformation of inputs into outputs system. The term “black box” was created to exercise the electronics students who received an electronic circuit in a black box with open entrances and exits.. From: http://sitestree.com/?p=777
