WebLogic:Eclipse:Hello World #1

Creating a Web Application and Testing it on a Server:WebLogic:Eclipse:Hello World

  • Open BEA Workshop for WebLogic Platform
  • Click File > New > Project
  • Web->Dynamic Web Project->Next
  • Fill the form as shown in this image
  • Just take a look at index.jsp and Controller.java files as shown in this image
  • Click Window > Open Perspective > Page Flow
  • The workspace will look like this image
  • From left page flow explorer window, click index.jsp. Add some contents
  • From left page flow explorer window, right click Controller.java and click 'Run on server' - this will start bea weblogic server and display the output of the jsp page (in thw workshop).
  • When the webserver starts first time, it may ask you for some information. Check this image what to put on.
