class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scrum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scrum explains how one cross-functional team manages work through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Product Backlog<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprint Planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily Scrum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprint Review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retrospective<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Developers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scrum itself gives only limited detail about coordinating many teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Multiple Scrum teams can work on the same product, but they normally need additional coordination arrangements, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a shared Product Goal and Product Backlog;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>common integration standards;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cross-team dependency management;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>synchronized Sprints;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scrum of Scrums;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or a scaling framework such as SAFe, Nexus, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kanban<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kanban can be used at several levels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>one individual;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>one Agile team;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multiple teams;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a department;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a program or value stream;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a portfolio.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, a multi-team Kanban board might show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Requested \u2192 Analysis \u2192 Team Development \u2192 Integration \u2192 Validation \u2192 Released<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Different teams may be responsible for different parts of that flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p policies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dependency visibility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WIP limits;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>clear ownership;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integration agreements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>escalation mechanisms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>regular coordination meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scrum versus Kanban at scale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table Team Kanban<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then the Agile Release Train coordinates them through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PI Planning;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PI Objectives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Program Board;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cross-team dependencies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ART Sync;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>System Demo;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>shared cadence;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RTE facilitation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>program-level risk management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GlobalZipCart example<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p four-sprint plans, dependencies, risks, and PI Objectives, that is the <strong>SAFe multi-team layer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teaching line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote
